Zachary Collins - Physiotherapist

Zachary Collins is a Registered Physical Therapist with certifications in Health Coaching and Health and Fitness Studies. His main clinical area of interest is in treating individuals who have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or related illnesses where fatigue is a component. Zachary attended Queen’s University and the University of Alberta, to complete his Physiotherapy degree in 1999. Since graduating, he has worked in several different rehabilitation settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private practice, mental health facilities, and as a self employed private consultant for people who suffer from complex mobility issues. In 2012, Zachary became the lead Physiotherapist for Mental Health in Vancouver General Hospital, where he treated and coached individuals with chronic health conditions to higher functional levels.
Zachary’s special interest in fatigue arose from his personal experience with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which left him bedridden and dependent on others for several years. From the experience, he has gained insight into how people suffering from fatigue, and the associated deficits, can improve their energy and ultimately their independence. Zachary combines Physical Therapy methods with what he learned from his illness to help people with fatigue feel better.
